Women’s rowing fatal for Argentine pair

Romania was the top qualifier in Heat 1 of the Olympic women's rowing pair repechage round at Eton Dorney at the 2012 London Games on Monday with Georgeta Andrunache and Viorica Susanu crossing the finish line with a time of 7:08.42 at Eton Dorney in London, Argentina’s pair of María Laura Abalo and Gabriela Best ended at last place (sixth) with a time of 7:20.94.

Abalo and Best had had a far from auspicious debut on Saturday when they also ended in the last position in Heat 1 of Women's pair.
