Moyano blasts Govt's attacks on 'workers' movement'

On a rally held to commemorate the 60th anniversary of Eva Perón’s death, the head of the CGT labour confederation, Hugo Moyano, called on President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner to "imitate Evita's humility," and assured that "if defending the workers' rights means being a part of the opposition, then I'm a part of it."

Moyano assured Evita had "reached the people's hearts because of her humility," and referred to President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner by saying "I wish they could imitate her humility and leave arrogance aside, so that people would like her. But arrogance is the opposite face of humility," he warned.

As the ceremony came to a close, the teamsters’ leader also likened Interior Minister Florencio Randazzo to a cartoon character named “Pantriste,” in response to his recent statements saying that Moyano is part of the opposition.
