BA province teachers' salaries to be paid in full despite recent strikes
The salaries of Buenos Aires province teachers involved in strikes to claim the payment of the midyear bonus will be paid in full, Governor Daniel Scioli announced on Tuesday.
“Considering the circumstances behind the strike I understand we must not discount those days off because strike is a right and especially in this case, because they were obviously claiming for the payment of the bonus to be done as soon as possible.”
Scioli addressed the issue following a meeting with the Buenos Aires province Director of Culture and Education Silvina Gvirtz, who was in charge of announcing the measure to union representatives.
