Actress and theatre director Alicia Zanca dies

Recognized for her active role in the Buenos Aires theatre scene, as well as having participated in dozens of movies and television shows, actress Alicia Zanca died after losing her battle against cancer, her press agent Alejandra Benevento informed today.

“With all the pain I can bear in my soul I have to inform Alicia Zanca has passed away. Endless sadness,” Benevento wrote in her Twitter account this morning.

According the local press 57-year-old Zanca was battling cancer for over two years before being hospitalized two weeks ago and finally succumbing to the disease today.
