Santa Cruz Police to lift strike after 19 days
Santa Cruz Police will lift the strike they hold after 19 days.
Santa Cruz police officers accepted the wage hike offered by the province’s Government and will lift the strike they hold, which entered its 19th day and that prompted the Security Ministry to deploy border guards to guarantee security.
The police officers will lift the strike as soon as Governor Daniel Peralta signs the decree for the wage hike, which could happen as soon as Monday. Previously, Security Secretary Sergio Berni had said that “the conflict is practically solved” and that “police officers will be working as normal on Monday.”
Peralta’s administration offer will increase the “value” a measure in which the police’s wages are rated, from $15.60 pesos to $21.10 in July, to$ 22 pesos in January and to $26 pesos in March 2013.
