'I'm going to kill myself,' Luján admitted to boyfriend
Luján Peñalva, 19, one of the young women found dead yesterday in Salta, confessed she was going to kill herself, because she “couldn’t stand” her “horrible life” anymore, after her father had refused to help her record her own CD.
The confession came the night before and on the day of her death, by way of a series of desperate messages sent to her boyfriend after having had a row with her family at her home.
Over a period of ten hours messages where her boyfriend tried to console her, Luján wrote messages such as: "I'm not getting on with my family and it pains me to be here."
"I've got to go... I've got to leave," continued the messages throughout the night. At midday on Saturday, shortly before she went missing, Luján wrote, "I'm leaving." "I'm going to kill myself."
The text messages were revealed on Salta newspaper El Intransigente’s webpage today, and are said to have been written between Luján and her boyfriend Exequiel Fredes in the early hours of Saturday.
