'Politics isn't about seeing to famous people,' Mariotto

Vice-governor for Buenos Aires province Gabriel Mariotto.

Buenos Aires province vice-governor Gabriel Mariotto, criticized Governor Daniel Scioli again today, stating that “politics is not about seeing to famous people and taking pictures with sportsmen.”

Whilst leading a ceremony in Vicente López today, Mariotto said: “politics is not about paying attention to famous people or those who show up in magazines” furthering how he couldn’t understand “how they can take pictures with famous sportsmen and not be in the places where the future sport icons are being formed; because it wouldn’t be Peronist to do so.”

Furthermore, he assured that “now is not a time to be soft, positions always need to be taken.”

“This is the way things go for us when effort is put into image and impressing the media, and when they aren’t putting themselves forward fully in order to solve the problems of residents,” Mariotto said.
