Cargo ship catches fire in Ensenada, one missing, two injured
A fire broke out on board a cargo ship this afternoon at Ensenada Port close to the city of La Plata, where a person has been reported missing and two injured, police officials said.
The incident occurred at around 3.45 pm today, yet the reasons for the fire were yet to be determined.
Since 6.30 pm two teams of firefighters were working with the Naval Command at the scene in order to put out the flames.
“The ship carried mixed freight, but it didn’t carry petrol,” one of the firemen confirmed at the scene.
