Prosecutor closes Monumental stadium down for 20 days
River Plate Monumental stadium.
Prosecutor Martín Lapadú confirmed River Plate's Monumental stadium will remain closed down for the next 20 days, and the club will have to pay a $110,000 pesos fine.
Lapadú assured that the sanction is not related to the murder of Gonzalo Saucedo, but is due to a club's infractions. One of them involves the number of fans that surpassed the allowed.
Besides, the official explained that the measure will last until August 3, so that the club will not have any inconvenient on playing the first match of the Apertura Tournament.
