Scioli on CFK's remarks: 'No one can argue with numbers'

“No one can argue with the numbers,” Scioli said today.

Buenos Aires province governor Daniel Scioli came on stage today after President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner indirectly scolded him publicly yesterday and called his administration incapacity of paying its workers midyear bonuses a “mismanagement issue."

“No one can argue with the numbers”, Scioli said today.

The governor stressed he was acting in good faith and had “good intentions and constructive spirit.” And added he was completely committed to "the province’s administration”.

“I am always going to behave as a respectful person, putting in all the rationality, reasonableness and also the necessary self-criticism”, Scioli remarked.

Yesterday, President Fernández de Kirchner indirectly scolded Scioli telling him that the way out of crisis lay in serious administration and management rather than in political jockeying or handouts.

She also denied that Buenos Aires province had been shortchanged by the national government in any way, arguing that since 2003 Argentina’s most populous district has received over 400 billion pesos.
