At joint rally with Scioli, CFK stresses 'BA province is the most privileged'

Buenos Aires province Governor Daniel Scioli and President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.

While attending a televised rally alongside Buenos Aires province Governor Daniel Scioli, President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner highlighted how "Buenos Aires is the most privileged province in the country."

The statements were made during an inauguratory ceremony opening a new building project for a farm machinery production plant in General Rodríguez, located in Western Greater Buenos Aires area.

The joint presence of the officials comes in the midst of the Buenos Aires province’s financial fluster over lack of funds in order to pay midyear bonuses to civil servants, which has caused tension in the province, fuelling strikes and protests.

It follows that the President highlighted how “from 2003 to date, the National Government has transferred AR$400 billion pesos to the Buenos Aires province.”

Fernández de Kirchner furthered that, “I had a teacher who taught me that there is no way to survive if one doesn’t rule and administer as they should,” standing metres away from Scioli on the podium during the ceremony.

The president and governor led together the ceremony, that inaugurated a building project which plans to build a tractor factory in the BA province town, set to cost over 140 million dollars.

The ceremony was held at the AGCO América del Sur Plant along National Route 24.

AGCO Allis company is a leading business in the design, fabrication and distribution of farming machinery, with its own complete line of tractors, combine harvesting machines, amongst others. AGCO distribute machinery to more than 140 countries by way of more than 3,000 concessionary firms.

Prior to this meeting, the Head of State and Scioli missed out on participating in ceremonies together on two separate occasions. Last week, due to poor weather conditions, Fernández de Kirchner did not travel to Chivilcoy where she and Scioli were meant to meet.

The most recent occasions in which the two leaders coincided in attending events together include when they visited Lanús National University to inaugurate a bromatology laboratory. In addition, on a separate occasion they opened a new Milka – Kraft foods- chocolate factory in Northern Greater Buenos Aires district of San Fernando.

At today’s ceremony, as well as Scioli, General Rodríguez Mayor Juan Pablo Anghileri, Industry Minister Débora Giorgi and Interior Commerce Secretary Guillermo Moreno were present, among other government officials.

From the company, AGCO Argentina, General Manager Frank Keller, Commercial Manager Paolo Rávolo and General Manager of Deutz AGCO Motors Christof Schulz were present.
