Moyano blasts 'frightened' opposition for 'siding with Gov't, business leaders'

CGT labour confederation leader Hugo Moyano.

The head of the CGT labour confederation, Hugo Moyano, targeted opposition leaders who oppose him as the leader of the organization and accused them of “being frightened and associating” with the national Government and business leaders.

“Whenever those union leaders who talk about Moyano are urged to do their part, they get scared or side with corporations. They are ready to side with Government officials or business leaders. That’s the difference between them and me,” he assured while giving a speech at the CGT headquarters in the City.

“We hear them said that Moyano is done, but I wish they made just a small percentage of the sacrifice that our organization does in order to defend the workers’ dignity,” he added.

This was Moyano’s first appearance after the front opposing the CGT leader called on a press conference at noon to announce that they would be holding their own elections on October 3rd at the Obras Sanitarias stadium, in order to pick the umbrella union’s “new authorities.”
