Moyano calls nat'l gov't attitude towards Scioli a 'coup d’état'
CGT umbrella union leader Hugo Moyano called today the national government’s attitude towards Buenos Aires province governor Daniel Scioli a “coup d’état”.
“What they are doing is clearly a “coup d’état,” Moyano said during a radio interview this morning.
Scioli’s administration is having trouble with the payment of salaries and midyear bonuses. Last week, he had to request financial aid to the national Government, which warned him he should learn to administrate resources properly.
Moyano accuses the national government of putting Scioli in a difficult situation in order to cause political turmoil in his administration.
“It is common knowledge for many years that the province is somewhat unviable. When they refuse to help the province to pay for the workers’ salaries they are clearly aiming towards Scioli’s replacement,” the CGT leader remarked.
