Flights resume at Aeroparque, Ezeiza after Air Traffic Control protest

Flights were backed up at Aeroparque today, due to a union protest.

Flights resumed at Jorge Newbery Metropolitan Airport and Ezeiza International Airport in Buenos Aires, following a union protest led by air traffic controllers, a measure that started at the beginning of the week. The measure caused delays and cancellations in domestic and international flight.

Sources from the Association for Aeronautical Technician staff (APTA) told the BuenosAiresHerald.com that the delays were significant and that the computer system had completely collapsed. However, the protest was lifted.

The delays were affected all domestic airlines as well as some international airlines.
