Scioli announces subsidy cuts
Buenos Aires province Governor Daniel Scioli’s administration announced it will restrict the use of paper, telephone calls and will cut subsidies to private education in a series of measures aimed to save money in the cash-strapped province.
Scioli’s Government will also reduce advertising to a minimum and will minimize the cost of rent of the Director of General Schools administrative structures, according to a communiqué.
Buenos Aires province government took place following a day of walkout and strike by provincial state employees to protest against the payment of a midyear bonus in four instalments.
