'I will not contradict CFK in any way,' Recalde assures
Kirchnerite lawmaker Héctor Recalde once again seemed to take distance from CGT labour confederation leader Hugo Moyano after affirming that the belongs to the Victory Front caucus and responds to President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.
“The one leading us is the President and in no way will I ever contradict her,” he stated.
Recalde explained the content of the draft bill looking to amend the income tax that he introduced in Congress last week and assured that “changing its name is the first thing that needs to be done.”
“When you call it an income tax it leads workers to confusion. It has got to be called ‘earnings tax’,” he explained.
“Our main discussion must be centered on the basis of which income a worker must be earning in order to pay a tax. Philosophically speaking we support the government’s role in society and this is not possible if there is no money,” he explained.
When asked about Moyano’s general strike and demonstration last week, he refused to comment and asked for his silence “to be respected,” explaining that he will discuss it “when it’s time."
