Wimbledon: Mónaco loses to Troicki
Juan Mónaco sealed his Wimbledon's farewell ticket after losing 7-5 7-5 6-3 against Serbian Viktor Troicki (34), in a third round match at the All-England club.
Showery rain affected the Championship grounds for almost an hour, and the game was delayed.
Mónaco, who had reached the third round for the first time in four other showings at Wimbledon, usually produces his best results on clay courts.
Troicki, who just missed out on a seeding at No. 34 in the world, proved to be better suited to grass than Mónaco that had so far managed to beat country-fellow Leonardo Mayer (61) and Frenchman Jeremy Chardy (57).
Meanwhile, French Richard Gasquet (18) is ready to face Nicolás Almagro (12) as they look for spots in the fourth round.
