Six injured after elevator plummets inside a building
Six people were injured today after the lift they were travelling in plummeted inside a building in downtown Buenos Aires. The incident took place in a building located along Brazil Avenue at the intersection with Matheu in San Cristobal neighbourhood.
Early reports said that the lift fell from the eighth floor to the ground floor of the building.
According to witnesses at the scene, the lift’s holding capacity was four people, but was carrying eight people when it fell.
Those injured, all from the same family, were taken by SAME paramedics to nearby hospitals Penna, Argerich and Ramos Mejía.
