Accord signed with dairy farmers
Agriculture Minister Norberto Yauhar signed yesterday a 22.5-million-peso productivity deal with the Intercooperative Board of Dairy Producers’ (JIPL), reported its president Danny Lorenzatti. During the meeting, in which the agreement for two rotating funds was signed, the co-ops highlighted that “this agreement is unique in the dairy sector’s history.”
The first fund will be used to support horizontal co-op integration when purchasing supplies and the second as working capital for smaller co-ops.
“President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner has set a path for the importance of co-ops when it comes to the creation of a new marketing scheme in Argentina,” Yauhar said, according to a press release from his Ministry.
