Suspect in custody for River’s hooligan murder

Police detained this morning the main suspect of killing Gonzalo Saucedo at River's Monumental stadium last weekend. Matias “El Mati” Soria was wanted by the police since Monday.

According to witnesses’ reports, Saucedo was involved in a fight between two groups of River Plate's hooligans inside the Monumental Stadium and while the game's first half was still being played.

Yesterday, the suspect’s house was raided by the police.

On Monday, Police officers and inspectors led a raid at the River Plate’s Monumental Stadium. Nevertheless, the cameras of the stadium did not film what had happened. As a result, security personnel in charge of the security footage may be suspended.
