Buenos Aires stocks edge down

Buenos Aires stocks edged down, with the Merval benchmark stock index dropping by 1.3 percent at 2,198.48 points.

Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk fell by 0.3 percent to 1,167 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.
