CFK transfers Transport Secretariat to Interior Ministry

President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner announced by decree the transfer of the Transport Secretariat to the Interior Ministry, and the creation of the Interior and Transport Ministry that will be led by current Interior Minister Florencio Randazzo and his transport counterpart Alejandro Ramos, whose body will no longer respond to Planning Ministry conducted by Julio De Vido.

The announcement was made during a televised speech held at noon at the Government House.

Fernández de Kirchner remarked that the new Ministry's task will be to summon both Buenos Aires province Governor Daniel Carlos Scioli, and Buenos Aires City Mayor Mauricio Macri in order to work all together in a plan to reorganize the transport spectrum within the Buenos Aires Metropolitan Area.
