Subte: City Gov't renews demands for meeting with CFK
City Economy Minister, Néstor Grindetti.
City Economy Minister, Néstor Grindentti confirmed that “there would not be any kind of agreement” regarding the handing over of Buenos Aires underground train system until Mayor Mauricio Macri is granted a meeting with President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner.
“Our government and the head of the city government have reiterated that we want to take control over the Subte, but we have to define the matter of investing in the system, something the government has not done in recent years,” the city government member mentioned during an interview with a local radio station.
Grindentti said that Macri has asked “repeatedly for a meeting with the President,” and has received no response.
