Buenos Aires stocks edge up

Buenos Aires edged up in afternoon trade, with the Merval benchmark stock index moving up by 2.2 percent to 2,288.6 points.

Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk rose by 0.18 percent, standing at 1,121 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.
