Flights delayed at Ezeiza Airport due to rain and fog
Flights were delayed this morning at Ezeiza International Airport, due to poor visibility caused by the fog and rain currently affecting the Greater Buenos Aires area. Many flights were cancelled and some postponed, until weather conditions improve.
Incoming flights were particularly affected, with Aerolíneas Argentinas having to divert flights from Madrid to Montevideo, Uruguay.
Departures to cities such as Rome, Paris, Dallas, Madrid and New York were also delayed this morning.
Even still, domestic flights at Aeroparque Metropolitan Airport (Jorge Newbery), were reportedly back to normal this morning, despite the dense fog and showers affecting the city area, airport sources informed.
At 2.44 am this morning the first Aerolíneas Argentinas flight took off, destined for Río Gallegos, followed by the first Austral flight at 6 am, destined for Bahía Blanca.
