Weather alert issued for heavy rain, storms in Buenos Aires

The National Weather Forecast service issued an alert for heavy rainstorms in the northeastern, centre and southeast of Buenos Aires City and province this morning. A similar alert was also issued for south of Entre Ríos province.

“A cold wave expanding from the centre of Buenos Aires Province to the south of Cordoba Province is likely to cause heavy rains, storms and scattered showers throughout the region,” SMN informed.

It added that the sky is expected to remain partly cloudy on Saturday improving moderately throughout the day. For Sunday, weather conditions are to worsen with possible rain in the afternoon.
