Vélez beat Santos in Liniers

Brazilian Santos forward Neymar (R) controls the ball past Argentinian Velez Sarsfield defender Gino Peruzzi.

Vélez Sársfield defeated holder Brazil's Santos 1-0 in the match for the quarter-finals of the Libertadores de América Cup.

Mauro Obolo opened the score as he headed at 34' of the first half of the game.

The match for the first leg was held at the José Amalfitani Stadium in Liniers neighbourhood, Buenos Aires City.
