Gov't blasts Macri, Metrovías over subway conflict

Labour Minister Carlos Tomada, Planning Minister Julio De Vido and Transport Secretary Alejandro Ramos

The Government once again accused the Mayor Mauricio Macri’s administration of not “owning up to its responsibilities,” regarding the subway service and urged them “to start to work and find a solution” to the wage talks of subway workers, who are holding a 36 hour strike.

Planning Minister Julio de Vido, Labour Minister Carlos Tomada and Transport Secretary Alejandro Ramos held a a joint press conference to discuss subway service transfer and insisted the City government should start to work in order to find a solution to the wage talks.

“The Government cannot be held responsible for the City’s administration incapacity. We urge concessionary Metrovías and the City Government to start working right away to reach a solution. We ask them to think about the subway workers and particularly the thousands of subway users they are affecting every day,” De Vido stated.
