Govt's request to appoint new Prosecutor General reaches Senate

Lawmakers in the Upper House confirmed that they received on Monday the National Government’s written request to appoint current SIGEN head Daniel Reposo as the new Prosecutor General.

Just as the head of the Kirchnerite caucus in the Lower House, Miguel Angel Pichetto, had announced last week, the public hearings to discuss Reposo’s appointment will begin on May 31st.

His appointment is expected to be approved in the first weeks of June.
