Judge rejects City Gov't appeal to keep Federal Police officers patrolling subway stations

Judge Rita Ailán rejected an appeal filed by the City Government which aimed to avoid that Federal Police officers stop patrolling subway stations.

Judicial sources confirmed that the judge rejected the appeal filed by PRO government official Juan Pablo Piccardo against the national Security Ministry in order to avoid that Federal Police officers stop patrolling subway stations, as both administrations feud over the subway service transfer.

Decisions taken by the Security Ministry are decisions that the administration organ takes under its responsibility, basing upon the principle of division of powers and within the framework of its attributes, which are of its exclusive competence,” Judge Ailán assured .
