Buenos Aires stocks edge down slightly

Buenos Aires stocks rose in midday trade, with the Merval benchmark stock index moving up by 1.2% to 2,307.04 points. It dropped 5.1% so far this year.

Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk fell by 1.4%, standing at 1005 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.
