Vélez draw Atlético Nacional, reach quarter-finals
Vélez Sársfield drew Colombia's Atlético Nacional de Medellín 1-1 at its José Amalfitani Stadium for the second leg of the pre-quarter finals of the Libertadores de América Cup. The aggregate score ended 3-2.
Augusto Fernández scored Vélez's goal at 7' of the second half, as Luis Mosquera managed to tie the result at 24' of the same half.
The Argentine team counted with one goal in favour netted by Iván Bella during the first leg played in Colombia.
The team coached by Ricardo Gareca achieved the quarter-finals and will now have to face the winner of the game between Bolivia's Bolivar and holder Brazilian Santos. The Bolivian team won 2-1 in the first leg played in La Paz.
