Gov't fines Movistar over 24-hour service failure
Planning Minister Julio De Vido announced today the government will fine mobile phone company Movistar for the 24-hour service failure which affected eighteen million people on April 2.
During a press conference at the Economy Ministry, De Vido announced that the company has been ordered to pay a fine of just over $185 million pesos, which will mean the refunding of $10 pesos to users of the mobile phone service provider who were affected by the failure.
