Buenos Aires stocks edge up

Buenos Aires stocks edged up today, with the Merval stock benchmark index gaining 0.83 percent to 2,233.93 points.

Meanwhile, Argentina's country-risk fell by 0.4 percent to 994 basis points in the JP Morgan EMBI index.
