Tigers acquire Huff from Orioles
Baltimore Orioles Aurbey Huff.
The Detroit Tigers have acquired infielder Aubrey Huff from the Baltimore Orioles in exchange for pitching prospect Brett Jacobson, the teams said.
Huff, 32, batted with 13 home runs and 72 RBI this season. Over his 10-year major league career with Tampa Bay, Houston and Baltimore he has a average with 201 homers and 739 RBI.
The 22-year-old Jacobson, a right-hander, went 1-3 with six saves, a 3.74 ERA and 44 strikeouts in 35 games with Class A Lakeland this season.
