These tapes are used to retell the sequence of events leading to September 11 1973. La asamblea. A documentary portraying the unique challenges faced by the Frente de Artistas del Borda, an artists’ collective formed by inpatients of psychiatric hospital J. T. Borda. The outdated mental health model under which the institution is run strips them of their rights, a fact which shapes their creative process. Peperoni ripieni e pesci in faccia (Demasiado amor). Director Lina Wertmüller switches the social and political overtones of Pasqualino Settebellezze and Amor y anarquía for a comedy on the conflicts and imbroglios of a well-to-do family who inhabits a large house overlooking the Gulf of Naples. A 13-year-old girl wants to emancipate herself legally from her parents: she was conceived in order to save her sister from leukemia, and ever since she was a little girl was subjected to all kinds of treatments and experiments which relegated her wellbeing. Cameron Diaz’ debut as a dramatic actress. With special effects aplenty and a star-studded cast used to classier fare.
