2009 Audi Cup
Boca Juniors beat AC Milan on penalty shots
Boca Juniors defeated AC Milan on penalty shots (4-3) after have tied 1-1 on regular time and finished in third place of the 2009 Audi Cup.
Later on Bayern Munchen and Manchester United will see each other at the big final.
On yesterday's matches, Boca Juniors were defeated 1-2 by Manchester U, while the Bayern Munchen shocked AC Milan with a 4-1.
The AC Milan coach Leonardo was quoted saying "we have arrived in here in Munchen quite tired. It will be a great motivation for us to play." But then the team faltered against the hosts.
To save grace will be the aim of AC Milan now and they will play their natural soccer against the South American team. Leonardo will look for a solution to replace maybe defender Oguchi who had not been in the greatest of form. Marco Borriello and Gennaro Gattuso will have to play to the expectations of Leonardo and the Boca Juniors will not allow the Milans to overwhelm them but will play to their potential to seal third place.
After third-place match, Manchester United will meet Bayern Munchen in the final of the Audi Cup 2009 before flying back home to England to continue their pre-season build-up. The 2-1 victory against Boca Juniors last night took the Reds' tally to five wins and 18 goals in five pre-season matches.
