Governor denied rumours about Scioli's resignation
Capitanich: 'Dialogue is extremely important'
The Governor of Chaco Province, Jorge Capitanich, said that "the dialogues are extremely important" and supported the call for interaction between different political sectors by President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner earlier this month.
In addition, Capitanich referred to the rumours about Daniel Scioli's possible resignation from his post as head of the Justicialist Party and denied the allegations.
"I don't think that the rumours are true, we have no inconveniences in the way in which we are functioning," said the Governor.
"The President's speech earlier this month was well done in the sense that it set the mark for dialogues between different political parties, putting emphasis in the actions linked to economic activity and employment," emphasized Capitanich during a radio broadcast.
For the Governor, "in this sense, I believe that the dialogue is a tool that is extremely important, but it does not guarantee coinciding viewpoints or general consensus," he added.
He also said that "if there is an objective evaluation of the June 28 elections, we can see that the distribution of electoral power makes it necessary to converse, and the dialogues are a fundamental tool."
With respect to political reform, Capitanich said that the Justicialist Party "has manifested its support for the open dialogues," and held that it is a "tool for the choosing of poltical candidates" with the 2011 election in mind.
"When a poltical party or an economic sector criticizes these dialogues, it is a rather questionable situation. It is absolutely necessary that this country be able to count on dialogue as a tool for cooperation," affirmed the Governor.
