Buenos Aires province, City agree that consultations at hospitals dropped
Buenos Aires province governor, Daniel Scioli, said "I have been to Berazategui's, Malvinas Argentinas', Cañuelas', Florencio Varela's and Merlo's Hospitals and their authorities told me that H1N1 consultations decreased," since the pandemic outbreak.
Scioli added that "the measures applied to prevent the virus spread and the availability of Tamiflu" caused a drop in medical consultations.
Mauricio Macri, Buenos Aires City Mayor, also said that "the situation is better than last week and the H1N1 consultations in hospitals has dropped" since the pandemic outbreak.
Macri added that at the Ricardo Gutiérrez' Children Hospital "the consultations dropped from 600 to 150."
The City Mayor confirmed that there will not be health time-off in the City and said that the best way to prevent the Influenza A spread is "the hygiene, the self isolation if you have symptoms and avoid the auto medication."
Meanwhile, Scioli said that the health time-off is a "reasonable decision."
