Newly elected deputy Fernando ‘Pino' Solanas harshly criticized the government's cabinet shuffle in a telephone interview with a local TV news channel.

The white-haired leftwing Peronist filmmaker looked down at new designations meant to ease up the waters after the ruling party's defeat in the June 28 midterm elections.

"If the government was looking to achieve credibility and gain people's approval by shuffling a new cabinet, the designations of Amado Boudou and Aníbal Fernández will not help at all and mean nothing but a huge step back."

Thus, Solanas hammered down on Boudou -the new appointed Economy Minister- as saying: "his arrival is just the arrival to the national economy of a man that comes from the Centre of Macroeconomic Studies of Argentina's (CEMA) lines, hence an orthodox neoliberal that represents the worst of the politics adopted during the 90's."

"I think the CFK administration is setting everything up for an International Monetary Fund (IMF) come back to Argentina's political and economical life."

"It also caught my attention that Planning Minister Julio de Vido once again has survived to another cabinet's shuffle."

Solanas' most stinging words were aimed to now former Justice Minister Aníbal Fernandez, who took office today as Cabinet Chief, "his designation is just unbelievable, this man (Fernández) is a liar, he's got a nose as long as Pinocchio's, he's been lying to the people ever since he was Quilmes district mayor. He spent a whole political career making up stuff."

Mariano Recalde, son of Héctor Recalde, who happens to be Hugo Moyano's lawyer, has been appointed as the new director of Aerolíneas Argentinas and Austral recently renationalized airlines companies. Solanas expressed his disagreement on his designation, "Besides being the son of the Labour General Confederation head's lawyer, nobody know nor recognize on Recalde any experience within the aeronautics industry."
