The Inter-American Development Bank is pausing all new loans to Honduras until democracy is restored in the Central American country, said the president of the multilateral lender.

"We hope there is a way to return to democracy," Luis Alberto Moreno said in Chile about a military coup in Honduras on Sunday that has been widely condemned by the international community.
