President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner gave a press conference at Government House and played down the defeat suffered by government candidates in  the midterm elections.

Speaking on the situation in Honduras: "I spoke with the different president's of the region. We want the media to reflect the data that we're sharing because preoccupying things are occurring in the entire region."

"Congress' composition has to do with the governability of the country."

"Our loss is going to demand agreements in order to attain governability. We must negotiate just like in any parliament."
