Eleven victims from Air France flight identified
Eleven victims from the Air France flight that crashed into the Atlantic have been identified, according to the Federal Police and the Social Defense Secretary from the Brazilian city of Recife.
Ten of the victims are Brazilian, five men and five women. One of the victims' nationalities has not been disclosed. The families of the victims have not allowed that the identities of the identified persons be made known to the public.
According to authorities, the identification process was directed by international police Interpol, with special focus from the group that deals with identifying disaster victims.
The Air France flight 447 crashed into the Atlantic Ocean on May 31, flying from Río de Janeiro to Paris, due to causes that are yet unknown.
