Once again, Google - Internet's most important search engine - celebrates an anniversary through putting on a new artistic logo on its portal. This time, the Google logo reminds us of 127th anniversary of Igor Fiódorovich Stravinsky's birth. The brilliant Russian compositor and conductor was one of the most important musicians of the twentieth century.

Stravinsky composed a large number of classic works dealing with various styles such as primitivism, neoclassicism and serialism, but is especially known for three works of one of its initial period, called by many "the Russian period": The Firebird (L'Oiseau de Feu, 1910), Petrushka (1911) and The Consecration of Spring (Le Sacre du Printemps, 1913). For many, these classic ballets, daring and innovative, practically reinvented the genre.

Stravinsky was considered by Time magazine as one of the most influential personalities of the twentieth century. The composer has his own star on the Hollywood Boulevard's Walk of Fame. He died in New York on April 6, 1971 at age 88 and was buried in Venice on the island of San Michele's cemetery.
