Rescue teams bring Air France body count to 41
Rescue teams found 17 more bodies from Air France flight 447, bringing the total number of bodies found to 41.
The first group of bodies found began to undergo examination today in order to be identified properly.
The bodies found today were transported by Brazilian Air Force helicopters to Fernando de Noronha, where they underwent preliminary examinations for identification purposes.
The Air Force said that they will not offer any more information about the degree of decomposition of the bodies or the sex of the cadavers found in the ocean.
"The bodies remain on the vessels designated for search purposes, but they will only be transported and analized at the proper time," said Captain Giucemar Tabosa in a press release.
"The pieces of the plane that have been found will only be identified by the Airbus authorities," explained the Aerospace Coronel Henry Munhoz.
