Supreme Court summons Luis Patti to trial
The Supreme Court confirmed today that former deputy commissioner Luis Patti will be tried on charges of retaining information and protecting Military officials during the last dictatorship.
The defense team for the Patti had appealed the court's request for the trial, but the petition was rejected.
Patti is being tried for protecting two military officials who were suspects in the kidnapping and disappearance of military ‘montoneros' in 1980.
Sources in contact with the court said that Patti, currently incarecerated for crimes against humanity, protected Military Officials Jorge Granada and Luis Arias Duval.
