Two dead in Salta after hit by 6.3 aftershock
An eight year old boy and a 53 year old man were killed after a wall collapsed in the Valle de Lerma zone in Salta city after the region was hit by a 6.3 aftershock.
Salta and Jujuy provinces were hit by a significant aftershock after 1 pm. Locals say that such a tremor hadn't been felt in thirty years.
Several provinces in Northern Argentina suffered a new earthquake that included Salta, Jujuy and Tucumán provinces.
"We haven't felt anything like this in 30 years," journalist Francisco Mattus said.
"It was very strong, specially for people living onhigh rise buildings. Walls moved and things started falling over the furniture."
Even though no considerable damage has been reported, apparently Salta city has been left without any cellular coverage.
