Former President and current La Rioja Senator Carlos Menem confirmed he is to attend the next session at the Upper House, scheduled for Wednesday next week. "I'm surely attending," Menem declared in an interview to a local TV channel. He did not anticipate his vote.

"I haven't thought about it: I'll cast my vote according to what I think at the moment," La Rioja Senator expressed. He confirmed he will not abstain from voting and he insisted on the fact that no opposition leader had consulted him as regards his assistance and his voting at the preparatory session of the Senate.

"Remember: I describe myself as an anti-Kirchnernite person," Menem summed up.
