Bargain talks
Oporto hopes ‘to come to agreement with teachers soon’
General Director of Culture and Education in the Buenos Aires province Mario Oporto said their goal "is to end uncertainty" and the provincial government "hopes to come to an agreement with teachers before classes begin."
The director also refused to discuss salary amounts with the media, since they "weren't involved in any formal bargain meeting."
"We are going to wait for them to happen. If I talk about it too much before time, then the bargaining gets worse," he added and explained that "first comes the national bargain meeting. Sileoni is working very hard, so we hope we can increase the number of agreements this week. And as a consequence, we will immediately summon the unions to talk."
