After a claim that it was unconstitutional

'Resolution against Media Law will be revoked', Alak says

Justice, Security and Human Rights Minister Julio Alak said today that Judge Edmundo Carbone’s resolution against the Media Law is “surprisingly strange and will surely be revoked by a superior judicial plea”.

Alak said that Carbone’s resolution, which accepts a injunction claiming that the Media Law is unconstitutional, is interesting, considering the judge’s resignation was accepted en November 6th and he officially left his post on the 31st”.

He also added that “although this measure is absolutely provisional, it’s purpose is to discredit the legal validity of a law widely passed by Congress.”

“This plea has not hurt the State’s right, which remains protected. It will be judicially refuted  by the Federal Contencious Administrative Court and surely revoked because it does not fall within the boundaries of the law”, he concluded.
